Hoist Rescue Privacy Policy

Hoist Rescue ("the App") is developed and operated by Mission Ridge Technologies ("we", "us", "our"). This policy explains what information we collect through the App, how we use it, and your choices.
Information We Collect
When you create an account and use Hoist Rescue, we collect:
- Account information: email address, display name, and (optionally) phone number.
- Organization and crew data: the organization you belong to, your assigned crew position(s), and on-call status, if applicable.
- Hoist activity records: dates, locations, and details of hoist operations you log in the App, used to calculate currency status.
- Equipment records: equipment types and details you or your organization add to the App.
- Device push notification token: used to deliver alerts (e.g. on-call notices) to your device.
- Subscription status: if your organization subscribes to a paid plan, we (via our payment processor, RevenueCat) store your subscription/entitlement status. We do not receive or store your payment card details — those are handled directly by Apple or Google.
How We Use Your Information
- To provide core App functionality: tracking hoist currency, managing crew positions and approvals, and displaying organization data to authorized members.
- To send you notifications relevant to your role (e.g. on-call alerts, approval requests).
- To authenticate your account and secure access to your data.
- To manage organization subscriptions, where applicable.
Who Can See Your Information
Your hoist and crew data is visible to authorized members of your organization (e.g. managers), consistent with the permissions built into the App. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Third-Party Services
Hoist Rescue relies on the following third-party service providers to operate:
- Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore database, Cloud Functions, Cloud Messaging) — for account management, data storage, and notifications.
- Google Sign-In — if you choose to sign in with Google.
- RevenueCat — for managing organization subscriptions purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
These providers process data on our behalf and are contractually restricted from using it for their own purposes.
Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your account and activity data for as long as your account is active. To request deletion of your account and associated data, contact us at the email below.
Children's Privacy
Hoist Rescue is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
